Judy
Galloway, Managing Partner
Judy Galloway, Managing Partner, is a market researcher
and brand marketer. Named an “It” market researcher
by Women’s Wear Daily Beauty Biz in 2005, she has
also served as an Adjunct Professor of Market Research & Consumer
Behavior teaching in the Masters Degree Program in Cosmetics &
Fragrance Marketing and Management at FIT [Fashion Institute of
Technology] the State University of New York. She currently publishes
the G-Ometer Report ©, a trend forecast that charts the characteristics
and contradictions of our culture.
Judy began her career as a Fashion Coordinator at Bloomingdale’s
Dept. Store and then spent 14 years at Avon Products Inc. including
positions as Director of Marketing, Director of International,
Director of Sales Support and Director of Strategic Planning.
After leaving Avon, she was Vice President of Waverly Fabrics
& Home Furnishings and then Executive Vice President of Sullivan
& Company, a communications agency to Fortune 200 companies
including Avon Products and MasterCard. A pioneer in online marketing,
she launched a branded Website for the Waverly brand in 1994 and
was head of marketing for an early stage Internet company. Judy
has had extensive experience in all channels of distribution including
retail, online, direct sales, party plan selling and direct mail.
She has conducted numerous research projects, both quantitative
and qualitative, as well as innovation sessions and new product
ideation sessions for major brands including Bumble and bumble
Hair Care, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, H&M retail,
New York & Company, Johnson & Johnson and Hamilton Beach.
She frequently moderates focus groups, conducts in-depth interviews
and in-home ethnographies using her proprietary Deep Dive Research
© process. In addition to qualitative projects, she executes
many quantitative research projects including attitude & usage,
brand awareness, customer satisfaction and tracking studies. Results
of studies Judy has conducted have been published in The New
York Times, Wall Street Journal and Brand Week.
Judy holds a BA in sociology from Mary Baldwin College in
Staunton, Virginia where she has named Visiting Marketing Scholar,
is a current member of The Board of Visitors and was elected the
Symth Leadership speaker in 2005. She completed the Columbia Business
School Marketing Management program and is a graduate of the RIVA
Research Institute. She is also a member Faith Popcorn’s
BrainReserve Talent Bank.
Until the brand was recently sold to Proctor & Gamble, Judy
was a member of the Advisory Board of NIOXON Hair Care. She is
a Committee Chairperson of QRCA (Qualitative Research Consultants
Associations), a Professional Member of the World Future Society,
Fashion Group International and the AMA Healthcare SIG.
